On Tuesday 24th May 2022, Dubai health ministry has confirmed the country's first
Monkeypox case. 

Patient is 29-year-old woman who arrived from West Africa, she is now kept under
medical care and The ministry assured public health authorities are taking all
necessary measures to protect, prevent and investigating further who so far came into contact
with her, so they can take necessary prevent measure.

The ministry also urge public to rely only on information coming from
official sources in the UAE, and to avoid and ignore any kind of
rumours and false information coming from any unofficial sources.

The UAE health authorities have also urged to follow health and 
awareness guidelines issued by it and the Pubic Health Authority, and 
to take all the necessary preventive measures and to remain 
alert and updated with this new Monkeypox Virus.
